I get invited months ago to give a workshop with a class of design students in Denver. My girlfriend (bending over me) accompanied me and became a vital part of the sucess of the workshop.
But after all the work and the stress of running it, I got to go skiing for the first time in my life!
After about an hour of some pretty confident bunny slope action, we decide to hit a huge mountain. I know… why didn’t I stay on the bunny slopes? Why didn’t I take some lessons?!
Lessons. pssscht! Who needs lessons?!
Well, needless to say, it I went down a green (which felt double black diamond) slope and I tried to maintain the “pizza slice” shape, but something eventually had to give.
And in this case, what gave was a ligament in my knee.
My right ski tip went ‘in’ and I went ‘down’.
Going down in the ski patrol sled was the best part of the trip.
