I’m off to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show tomorrow evening and I’m going to get a massive dose of tech. It’s good that I’m going now as I’ve been feeling more and more over loaded with gadgets, technology and electronic devices. The more obscure the gadget the better these days; GPS for someone that drives 8 miles in a straight line doesn’t make much sense, but it doesn’t make it any less interesting to me. Stationary bike trainers, kitchen tools… anything that isn’t a new cell phone, or a flat screen tv or a new mp3 player. I’m sick of them all.

But like any good addict, I can’t help but be interested when I hear a new acronym; EV-DO/EDGE/UMTS/GPRS/GSM, DMBs and PMPs, 480p/702p/1080i, wUSB, VOIP, 802.11e, DRM, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.
